Fans of Brandy will be thrilled to learn that she’s finally released a Christmas album! Titled Christmas with Brandy, the album features 11 tracks and was released by Motown Records on November 10. She’s starring in a Netflix holiday movie, too, making this an awesome holiday season for the star.
Brandy’s First-Ever Christmas Album
It wouldn’t be a Christmas album without classic songs like “Jingle Bells” and “Deck the Halls” sung in Brandy’s signature soulful style, but the album features two original songs as well, one of which she sang with her daughter, Sy’Rai.
Brandy explained that she wanted the album to have something for everybody. The first single, called “I Do It For You,” is about love, and the title of “Christmas Gift,” the song with her daughter, is fitting as well since her daughter was the greatest gift she’s ever received.
A Netflix Holiday Hit
Music hasn’t been the only thing on Brandy’s mind, though. She’s also starred as Jackie, a Christmas-obsessed woman, in Best. Christmas. Ever!, which was recently released on Netflix. She saw a bit of herself in Jackie’s desire to make those around her happy and her positive outlook on life.
When asked about plans for the holiday season, Brandy shared that she’ll be going to New York to spend time with her daughter and her mom, which sounds like a fitting end to a festive year. Who knows what 2024 will hold for the singer, but she definitely finished off 2023 with a bang.
