Who hasn’t rocked out to more than a few of the hit songs from the legend himself – Ozzy Osbourne? He was a founding member of the ever-so-popular rock band Black Sabbath which started in 1968. He was their lead vocalist. Sadly, due to his lifestyle and hard-to-handle nature, he was kicked out in 1979. He then continued his journey himself, making people happy along the way!
Ozzy Osbourne on Quitting the Tour
Ozzy was expected to perform in America and Europe but stated he was backing out of the tour entirely. He explains that he is unable to continue physically and wrote a heartbreaking statement on his Instagram profile about it. In the statement, he says how angry it makes him that he’s letting down fans and how disappointed he is. The announcement was heartbreaking for those fans who were set on seeing him on tour.
In the statement, he talks about the major accident in 2019 that left his spine badly damaged. He explains that he has had extensive treatment, and although his singing voice is just fine, his body can’t take the pressure of touring. Ozzy Osbourne has undergone stem cell treatments, three operations, physical therapy, and a groundbreaking Cybernics treatment that has left his body physically weak.
Ozzy’s Disappointment Is Endless
In addition to his injuries and the medical treatments he has undergone, he was also diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2020. He explains he will forever be humbled by his fans’ dedication and how many tickets were sold for the tour. Although he is extremely disappointed that his touring days had to end this way, he appreciates his fans and spreads love to all!
It is not known whether or not Ozzy Osbourne will ever tour again, but he explains that all the sold tickets will be fully refunded. He and his team are trying to work out ways that he can still tour without traveling from city to city and country to country, and he thanks his crew, family, and all his fans that still love and support him throughout the hardships!
