Super Bowl Viewers Think Usher Missed a Major Surprise Guest at Halftime Show

This year’s Super Bowl was on point, both the game itself and the halftime show. Usher was the star, and it was a great performance with many appearances by guests like Alicia Keys, H.E.R, Will.I.Am, Lil Jon, Jermaine Dupri, and Ludacris. Still, some fans felt like Usher missed an opportunity to share the center stage with Justin Bieber.

Usher Was Center Stage at the Super Bowl

Usher took center stage at the Super Bowl alone, singing songs from his long career with the appearance of his special guests. Viewers pointed out that Justin Bieber would have been a good addition to that list since the stars have collaborated before.

While Rihanna and Lady Gaga also performed alone in previous years, there were also surprise appearances by artists like Bruno Mars and Beyoncé. This gave hope to many that Justin Bieber may make a surprise appearance as well. This was fueled by the fact that Bieber recently started performing live again after having health issues.

Usher and Bieber’s Collabs

Usher had some involvement in Bieber’s 2010 song, “Somebody to Love,” and with a remix of the song “Peaches” in 2021, where he performed together with Ludacris and Snoop Dogg. He also wrote some of the songs that Bieber did over the years, which was a major part of his record deal 16 years ago. Some fans wondered exactly which songs they could even perform together had Bieber been there.

Before the event, there were also rumors that Usher had contacted Bieber directly to talk about performing together, but it didn’t pan out. Either way, some fans were left disappointed. Bieber was present at the Super Bowl, though, as he and his wife Hailey were spotted arriving at the stadium.
