Supermodel Cara Delevingne’s home in Los Angeles was tragically destroyed in a fire recently. Firefighters fought for over two hours to save the property in Studio City, California, but the roof eventually collapsed. Luckily, Cara wasn’t there at the time, and she expressed her gratitude to the firefighters and other people who tried to help.
The Destruction of Cara Delevigne’s Home
If you’re not sure who she is, Cara Delevingne became a model when she was a child and has modeled for some of the biggest fashion houses in the world. She made her acting debut in 2012’s Anna Karenina and starred in The Face of an Angel, Pan, and Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. Unfortunately, being a celebrity doesn’t save you from tragic accidents.
The fire at her home was reported on March 15th, shortly before 4 o’clock in the morning. The department is still investigating the cause of the fire. Over 94 firefighters were needed to put it out. One firefighter was also taken to hospital after they fell from a ladder. Luckily, he has made a full recovery.
A Heartfelt Message From Delevingne
Besides thanking the firefighter, Cara also shared a photo of two of her cats, leading many to believe they were lost in the fire. Fortunately, they were found and are doing well. The model wrote about how quickly life can change and how important it is to appreciate what you’ve got.
The Los Angeles Fire Department stated that the fire first started near the rear of the house. From there, it moved into the attic. While everything was happening, Cara was in London, where she performed in Cabaret at the Playhouse Theatre. There were reportedly unknown people in the house as someone inside had minor smoke inhalation injuries.
